(8 Entries) Abs: 1Delighted to be asked to judge the mini wire haired dachshunds at this well organised show, organised by many new committee members and their new secretary, and sincere thanks go to them, and to my stewards for their help.
I felt the variety had improved very much since I last judged them especially in the bitches, and was very pleased with my main winners. Dentitions had improved, but unfortunately there were quite a few dogs with dirty teeth; most coats were correct and there were some very close decisions to be made at times. Many did not meet the weight unfortunately, especially the males, and other exhibits lacked forechest, front angulation and ribbing, but on the whole I was able to find what I was looking for and was delighted with my higher placings .Also pleased to see my BOB go RBIS and my BPIB go BPIS .

1st. Jones Ch. Bimini Starstruck, 7 yr old, such a lovely soundly constructed dog, who set the bar for dogs to follow. He was so my type, with construction in all areas hard to fault, and he had everything required, especially his layback of shoulder, fore chest and ribbing, and sound quarters, and this was completed with his correct coat and trimmings. He moved with extension and drive , as he went around the ring displaying his excellent profile . Later told he was grandfather to my best of breed . RCC and BVIB.
2nd. Corner’s Holrick Mister Mischief.
This 12 yr old veteran was in excellent condition, with his super head, correct
reach of neck and was so well ribbed . With well trimmed coat, he was a little higher all through than 1, but very nice indeed.

1st. Kent’s Alncroft All Round Lokmardi. NAF.
Good head and trimmings, correct coat, would just prefer a little more forechest , but he was well ribbed, and moved ok ,and much will change as he matures.

1st.Kirkwood’s Beetlejuice Vitoraz at Helidon. Imp Cze.NAF.
Super dog with correct head, good reach of neck, leading to well laid shoulders and excellent ribbing. Was correct going away, a little closer coming towards, kept a good profile on the move. Liked him very much. BPD.

1st. Thorn Andrew’s Drakesleat Gud To Go.
Top quality, compact dog, I liked him very much, with super head, excellent front construction and ribbing. He was correct on both ends with his angulation, and parallel both coming and going, enabling him to keep a level topline as he moved.
2nd. Corner’s Carthorne Fabulous Frank.
Taller and a little bigger than 1 all though, this young man needs a little more practise on the table and standing. He had a good coat and correct head and reach of neck, and was well ribbed. He lacked a little angulation on both ends, but moved quite well.

1st.Phillips Birichino Barley Of Robinswood.
Good quality dog, with correct head reach of neck and well constructed on the front , with good prosternham and ribbing. He kept his outline and moved well. He had a super coat and trimmings, but I would just prefer a little more angulation on his quarters.

1st. Salisbury’s Pennywave Nosey Parker At Brocklewood.
Really caught my eye as he came into the ring, top quality, super type, correct coat and trimmings, with no exaggeration and well balanced all through. Construction was excellent with his typical head ,superb layback of shoulder and good prosternham and ribs which reached well back. His angulation at both ends was correct, with firm quarters, and he was so true going in both directions, enabling him to present a good profile as he drove round with good extension on the front, and was exactly what I was looking for. DCC and BOB and RBIS.
2nd. Pain’s Ravensbeech Buccleugh.
Bigger type than 1 , with correct coat and head. Not the front construction of 1 and closer than I would like coming towards.
3rd. Smith’s Alncroft I’ve an Inkling.

Another top quality exhibit, soundly constructed all through, with best of heads and fronts, lovely forechest, correct layback of shoulder and well ribbed. He moved correctly in all directions and kept his outline on the move, and completed the picture with his correct coat.
2nd.Kirkwood Emery’s Ch.Helydon Laird Loki JW.
Quality hound, good type with much to like, but a little fidgety today. Super head, trimmings with correct shoulder angulation , and super forechest, and well ribbed. With sound quarters on the back, I loved him, a little closer than one coming towards, but very nice dog.

MPB.8 Ent.2Abs,
Two lovely puppies here.
1st. Smiths Alncroft Ida Zire. Super quality young puppy, expertly handled today, with correct head and reach of neck, and excellent front action. Super ribbing and well laid shoulders, led to well angulated quarters, and was completed with a good coat. Parallel both coming and going, maintained super outline as she moved , lovely pup.
2nd. Jones’ Bimini Sky Blue Pink A top quality dog from this kennel. Same comments as those to 1 apply, super compact type, with everything in the right place, and super angulation both ends . Loved her. Just preferred the movement of 1 today.
3rd. Knight’s. Dereheath Roxette.
PB.Ent 4, 1Abs.
1st.Dance’s Emem Letty Bee Sunshine. A delightful top quality baby . So well balanced and so correct all through. Her head carriage, and reach of neck led to correct angulation on shoulders, matching that on her quarters. She had the prosterham required and such correct ribbing. Just drove around showing good extension on the front and her outline was just superb, will go far when a little more mature ,pleased to award her BPIB and to see her go BPIS.
2nd.Mill’s Newton Delight At Oniasid. Good head and neck with correct front and prosternam. Not quite the ribbing of 1, good angulation on the quarters, moved well, but not the outline of 1 on the move as yet.
3rd.Knight’s Marabis Matilda.
JB.Ent5, Abs2.
Difficult decision between first two.
1st.Russell’s Eyes The One Russteck. Lovely top quality bitch all through, well balanced and unexaggerated, with correct head and good reach of neck, super layback of shoulder and ribbing reaching into short loin and well angulated sound quarters.Moved soundly and kept her level outline as she drove around. Very nice, one to watch I think.
2nd. Thorn Andrews’ Drakesleat Good As Gold.Another super bitch full of quality and I really really liked her too. Just different type from 1, but same comments apply as for 1 with regard construction, so sound in all areas, and she moved so well. Liked her very much. On the move just preferred the outline of 1 today.
3rd.Sexton’s Malloney Noodle not a Doodle.
Yearl. Ent.2.

PG. Ent8.Abs1.
1st.Blackburn’s Stargang Witches Shadow. Quality all through, super head and reach of neck, leading to well laid shoulders and the best of front construction. Excellent ribbing, leading to short loin and well angled strong quarters.Parallel both coming and going .Super outline on the move and good bone and coat completed the picture.RCC.
2nd.Mill’s Middleton Hunt T Oniasid. Very nice bitch with an excellent head, reach of neck and front construction.Moved well. A little shorter than 1 ,

LB. Ent. 5.
1st.Jones’ Bimini Chasing Rainbows. Another super girl here, I loved her type, good head and trimmings, led to sound front and shoulder placement and ribbing. With a short loin and well angulated quarters , her movement was very correct presenting an excellent profile. Loved her.
2nd.Billinghurst’s Jiljac Well I Never. Correctly constructed , good head and coat, well ribbed , shorter and higher than 1, just preferred the outline of 1 on the move.
3rd, Blackburn’s Stargang Saphire And Steel.
OB Ent.3,Abs1.
1st.Thorn Andrews’ CH.Drakesleat Too Gud To Be True. Super top quality, well balanced, not exaggerated in any way, and so correct to go over. Super head and trimmings and coat, with excellent prosternum and front construction, so well ribbed and correctly angulated both ends, with firm quarters, she drove around with her lovely outline and just had the edge today in the challenge over some really lovely bitches.BCC.
2nd. Black’s Bassodoon Dodacahedron JW. Nice bitch, with quality, good head, correct coat and trimmings, who moved well. Looked lovely standing in profile, and quite similar to 1 in type. Just not the prosternum of 1.
